                                            Helping Hands

Today I am happy to feel the greatest warmth one could ever imagine – my mom’s caring hands. I hate to see fear in her eyes and this “Let’s call a doctor” sentence.

I don’t know what I’d ever do without her love. She’s also being “cuddled” by cough  but she never shows her pain. She’s the strongest. I am the weakest. But I am lucky. I am lucky to feel her care that works like magic. I can be weak with her. I can be the way I am. No pretending. No show. No play. I’m me with my mama. She feels me. So, it’s extremely difficult to make her believe that I’m feeling better when I am actually not.

I’m again short today. I’m still out of order. Like an old white-and-black TV set. :-)

I’m grateful for my column of strength at the times of troubles – my mama. God bless her forever!

  1. Hello Daria
How’s it going? We hope you are not frozen yet.
Anyway, we have heard about the weather news in your country and we are worried about you. Here you have the weather temperatures today in my city: (Min +11, Max+20) and for tomorrow is forecasted (Min+14, Max+18), Next (Min+9, Max+22) and so on. As you can see it is not so cold here in my city, in the north of Spain is cooler though. I don’t mean you to envy me, but just to show you what the weather is like, here nowadays;-)
Anyway, we both agree with you in connection with your mother cares. You are lucky staying next to your mother, who takes so much care about you. There’s a Spanish saying that says “There’s nothing like a mother”, I’ve just made a word to word translation, but I am sure you understand it perfectly.
By the way, this is a homemade treatment against the coughing. This is a true story, (like in a film, haha). This is what Conchi does when Sergito is coughing: Just cut an onion in small pieces, and put them on a dish next to your bed while sleeping. It works. (By Conchi). Well, you have to take into account that the smell in the whole room might be a bit weird. Hahaha.

We wish you all the best and we send you our virtual cares. ;)
    Sergio and Conchi.

  2. Yes, God Bless you mother. I've never heard of Sergio and Conchi's onion treatment. I might have to try it sometime but no time soon I hope.

Daria, if your fever is out of control you might need some help.

    1. Thank you, David!!!!! I'm feeling a bit better, still weak, though. I hate it. Feeling guilty. I know it is not my fault...BUT I wish I were not so sick. But I am happy to see your support!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Onion beside the bed...that is interesting. In Japan, it is said that a leek(green onion) around the neck when you sleep will work for your flue. but..I have not ever tried that...
